If you’re a chai latte lover, this spiked espresso martini is the drink for you! The creamy blend of coffee and vodka is warmed up with a sprinkling of cinnamon and masala chai spices, together a comforting dose of smooth, creamy Baileys and coffee liqueur. Grab a blanket and snuggle up by the fire with one of these as the chilly nights set in!
What you'll need
Serves 2
- 2 shots of espresso
- 2 shots of vodka
- 2 shots of Baileys (I like the salted caramel one)
- 25ml chai syrup
- 100ml milk
- 4 tablespoons of Masala Chai blend
Optional: Cinnamon powder and sugar.
What to do
Optional: Rim two martini glasses with a mix of cinnamon and sugar.
Heat up the milk and add the Masala Chai blend. Cover and let it infuse for 5 minutes before straining.
Add the vodka, Baileys, espresso and milk to a shaker packed with ice. Then shake and pour into the glasses.
Optional: Sprinkle with cinnamon or cocoa nibs to serve.
Top tip
Make it even tastier by infusing your vodka with Masala Chai blend or Masala Chai spices. I'd use approximately 1 teaspoon per shot, or 1/4 cup per 300ml. Add the masala chai and vodka to a jar. Close it tight and leave for 3 days. Then, strain and store.
