What herbs boost libido?│7 aphrodisiac herbs & spices

natural herbal remedy to boost libido for men womenWhat are aphrodisiac herbs?

The use of aphrodisiacs to increase libido is documented in most cultures throughout history. Named after the Ancient Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, these herbs are said to raise libido, enhance sensitivity, boost arousal, increase stamina and improve ‘performance’ for both men and women. But despite their long-standing history, the limited scientific research done on natural libido boosters has produced little clinical evidence supporting their effects.

Do aphrodisiac herbs work?

Our stressful lives can sometimes blunt our libido. But of course, aphrodisiac herbs are not only good to simulate sexual appetite and sensations, they're fantastic for overall reproductive organs health. Each aphrodisiac herb or spice will have many health benefits of its own. In fact, I'm describing some of those below.

Can you really boost libido with herbs?

Because sexual health is just one aspect of overall health. It’s hard to feel in the mood for love when we are tired or stressed. So a wholefood diet is key, as is good sleep, exercise and mindfulness. All these things, if incorporated into our daily lives, can make a real difference.

With this in mind I blended a wonderful love potion. I love the taste so much actually that I'm working on a cocktail recipe, with infused gin. So stay tuned!

So Aphrodite's Love Potion is a cheeky blend with aphrodisiac herbs. But despite their sexy reputation, they're also calming and may help relieve stress. A busy mind is libido's worst enemy after all. This potion is the little extra that can help your mind focus on present moment rather than on the to-do list.
