Lemon peels

Did you know lemon peel contains 5 to 10 times more vitamins than lemon itself?

Lemon peel contains a list of vitamin, mineral and fibre like calcium, potassium and Vitamin C, which gives your body a nutritional boost. Lemon peels also have some healthy enzymes, which help us to live a healthier life.

Organic Milk Thistle

Milk Thistle is perhaps most famous for its restorative effects on the liver. It is anti-fibrotic (meaning it prevents tissue scarring), and is thought to act as a “toxin blockade agent” by inhibiting the binding of toxins to the liver cell membrane receptors. This prevents viral toxins and other toxic substances getting into the liver cells and damaging them, whilst also aiding in the removal of these harmful substances from the cells.

Organic Marigold (Calendula) Flowers

Calendula’s most popular use from ancient times to modern day has been for healing the skin of wounds, burns, rashes, itchiness, bites and swelling. It has been found that Marigold has the ability to promote the growth of healthy new tissue, increase blood flow to the affected area, boost collagen production (which firms and strengthens skin), hydrate dry skin and speed up the process of skin repair following surgery or damage.

Calendula can stimulate menstruation, so pregnant women should not use it internally without consulting first with their GP.

Organic Nettle

Nettle has long been known as an effective diuretic, however it also has nephridic qualities – meaning that it can help to break down stones in the kidney and gallbladder, preventing these painful conditions from worsening or requiring those stones to be either passed or surgically removed.

Nettle tea is contraindicated in pregnancy.

Organic Dandelion

Dandelion is especially indicated in detoxification of the liver, restoring hydration along with electrolyte balance. It is also diuretic, aiding the liver and kidneys to flush away excess water and waste, supporting the body as it eliminates harmful toxins.

Dandelion leaf has been found to promote healthy lipid profiles, suppressing fat accumulation in the liver and reducing insulin resistance. This leaf also contains antioxidants that have a specific effect against liver toxicity.

Dandelion tea is contraindicated with irritable conditions of the bowels. May lower blood sugar.

Organic Cumin seeds

Nine types of antioxidants are present in cumin which includes Manganese, Copper, Zinc, Selenium, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Lutein, Vitamin B9 and Beta Carotene. Cumin is a fantastic stimulant which contains antiseptic qualities. Research has shown that cumin seeds might help with typical digestive disorders like acid reflux, indigestion and irregular bowel movements. Additionally, its rich iron content assist the absorption of essential nutrients within the pancreas, in addition to detoxification of wastes from the liver.

Organic Fennel seeds

Fennel has been utilised to enhance digestion since the Roman and Egyptian empire age. By facilitating and improving digestion as well as supporting in flushing excesses and toxins out of the body (being diuretic) – fennel seeds improve the metabolic processes whilst avoiding water retention within the body. All factors that may be support weight loss goals.

Organic Coriander Seeds

Coriander seeds contain antioxidants and dietary fibre that support healthy liver functions and facilitate digestion. This spice might be helpful for those who are seeking to lower overall cholesterol and balance LDL and HDL cholesterol. Indeed, coriander seeds contain coriandrin which is a compound that controls lipid digestion process by lowering cholesterol levels. Coriander seeds contain vital vitamins such as beta carotene, vitamin A, folic acid and vitamin C. The latter supports the immune system and is essential for beautiful skin and hair.
