What's in it?

Organic Assam Green Adventure

With a history stretching back over 5,000 years, Green tea was originally consumed only by royalty and the extremely wealthy in China. It wasn’t until around the 14th century that Green tea became available to all walks of life to enjoy for its delicious flavour and health benefits!

Organic Peppermint

Thought to be a naturally occurring hybrid of water mint and spearmint, Peppermint has an enduring history as a remedy for many ailments. It was used by the Romans as a cure for digestive complaints and headaches, and monks of the Middle Ages were known to use it as a tooth polisher. By 1721 it made an appearance in the London Pharmacopoeia where it was recommended for all manner of ailments including sores, venereal disease, colds and headaches.

Organic Spearmint

The iron content in a single serving of spearmint is more than 100% of the daily recommended amount (it contains 4.3 milligrams of iron per 5 grams. To put 5 grams in perspective, 1 tbsp of dried spearmint equals 1 gram), which can stimulate the production of red blood cells and hemoglobin. This not only prevents anemia but also increases circulation to the body’s extremities, boosting energy levels and wound healing.

Tea time

Infuse 1 or 2 heaped teaspoons in water heated at 75-80°c, for 5 minutes.

Tips

Did you know? Good quality whole-leaf green and black tea can be re-infused.
Steep it up to three times and discover different nuances every time.
Experiment with steeping time and quantity and find what you like. Longer infusion will result in a more astringent drink.

Make sure that all ingredients are well mixed. Lighter particles and powders tend to sink at the bottom of the packet.

Do not leave herbs to steep in water as this may result in a slightly bitter infusion.
