What's in it?
Organic Assam Green tea
Small-scale tea growers from the hills Assam put a great effort into using only organic and traditional methods to make this high-quality tea, naturally low in caffeine.
Hand rolled, it beautifully unravels and goes back to its original whole-leaf state.
Yerba Maté (Brazil)
Yerba Mate is known to boost the aerobic breakdown of carbohydrates during exercise sessions. This supports the burning of calories and delays the build-up of lactic acid.
It is also known to support weight loss by messaging the brain that the body is full.
Perhaps the most important benefit of this iconic tea is the extraordinarily high amounts of antioxidants it contains. It is especially rich in the flavonoid aspalathin - uniquely found in the Rooibos bush - which works together with nothofagin to protect the nervous system. It has been shown to decrease the production of certain adrenal hormones, such as cortisol, which helps to reduce stress levels and promote feelings of tranquillity.
Organic Dandelion roots
Dandelion root contains a bitter compound, "taraxacerin" that increases the level of bile secreted by the gallbladder, helping the liver to detoxify more efficiently. It is also diuretic, aiding the liver and kidneys to flush away excess water and waste, supporting the body as it eliminates harmful toxins. Dandelion supports the detoxification and cleansing of the digestive tract, especially from the effects of overconsumption of fatty foods, coffee and prescription medicines.
Spearmint contains vitamins, antioxidants, and vital nutrients. It has very similar benefits to peppermint such as improving digestion and circulation, reducing pain, eliminating inflammation and balancing hormones.
Guarana powder (Brazil)
Known as “Nature’s Rocket Fuel”, the Guarana bean holds more natural caffeine than any other plant. The active ingredient in the Guarana plant is guaranine – chemically identical to caffeine. However, in its natural form it is bound to the fibre of the seeds, meaning its stimulating component is released slowly, giving you hours of energy. Guarana not only gives a physical and mental boost, it also contributes to weight loss with its promotion of thermogenesis – the way our bodies convert food to fuel.
Infuse 1 or 2 heaped teaspoons in water heated at 80-85°c, for 4-6 minutes.
Honey or lemon can be added to taste.
Drink twice a day and regularly for best results!
You may get some residue at the bottom of your cup, which is perfectly fine to drink and even recommended but if you don't like it try our of our bio tea bags!
This way most of the powder will get strained.
Crush or grind the herbs prior to use.
Make sure that all ingredients are well mixed. Lighter particles and powders tend to sink at the bottom of the packet.
Do not leave herbs to steep in water as this may result in a slightly bitter infusion.
