Fed up with sneezing constantly, having watery eyes and an itchy throat?
If you're one of those lucky people who have hay fever symptoms all year long, this blend is made for you!
Say bye bye to those pesky symptoms with this natural herbal remedy, a selection of herbs designed to cover a large spectrum of allergies and symptoms.
What's in it?
Nettle leaf may be useful in reducing the symptoms of hay fever by acting as an anti-inflammatory. Nettle work here is twofold inhibiting allergic reactions and acting strongly cleansing. It also offers a variety of vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, amino acids, polyphenols and pigments — many of which act as antioxidants inside your body.
Peppermint can sooth upset stomach and aid in digestion. It is also widely used to treat symptoms of the common cold. A steamy cup of peppermint tea will clear up mind and sinuses.
Peppermint contains the substance rosmarinic acid, which has been shown to block the production of pro-inflammatory chemicals. It also encourages cells to make substances called prostacyclins that keep the airways open for easy breathing.
Yarrow may help inhibit the release of histamine, responsible for allergic reactions. Besides Yarrow reduces inflammation. Drinking infusions of yarrow provides many other health benefits such as helping digestion and absorption of nutrients from food, contributing to the functioning of the liver.
Ginkgo biloba has anti-inflammatory effects: in laboratory tests, it has been found to reduce markers of inflammatory stress. Ginkgo may help improve attention, memory and mental processing speed in older adults. It seems to improve symptoms of Alzheimer’s, vascular and mixed dementias. Ginkgo may also improve the symptoms of seasonal allergies.
Infuse 1 or 2 heaped teaspoons in water heated at 90°c, for 5 minutes.
Whole leaves take longer to infuse but it is definitively worth it!
For best results, drink daily.
Crush or grind the herbs before use.
Make sure that all ingredients are well mixed. Lighter particles and powders tend to sink at the bottom of the packet.
Do not leave herbs to steep in water as this may result in a slightly bitter infusion.
Herbs are powerful on their own but their magic also works synergistically - meaning that combined they can be even more powerful.
