Caffeine-free
Stuffy nose is designed to relieve congestion, inflammation and reduce mucus production. Say bye bye to your blocked nose and at last breath freely and deeply!
What's in it?
Organic Peppermint
Peppermint is widely used to treat symptoms of the common cold. Peppermint contains the substance rosmarinic acid, which has been shown to block the production of pro-inflammatory chemicals. It also encourages cells to make substances called prostacyclins that keep the airways open for easy breathing.
Organic Ginger root
Ginger contains gingerol is a natural anti-inflammatory that relieves swollen nasal membranes. Studies have shown that one of the gingerols also suppresses mucus production, helping relieve your stuffy head, according to the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine.
Organic Lemon balm
Lemon Balm contains the active compound rosmarinic acid, which make it a great anti-anxiety herb. Its calming properties can help you fall asleep - sometimes the best way to ged rid of a strong migraine. The aforementioned “rosmarinic acid” has also been found to exert neuroprotective effects, helping to protect the cells of the brain thereby potentially slowing down the aging of this all important organ.
Thyme
Thyme is rich in plant phenols such as thymol and carvacrol which are powerfully anti-spasmodic, making them potent cough suppressants. The antibacterial and expectorant qualities of this herb thin the mucus that the cough is trying to expel, whilst gently healing and soothing the bronchial tract.
Organic Yarrow
Used as a medicinal herb for thousands of years, Yarrow has a long history of use in the traditional medicine systems of many ancient cultures. In fact it is so ancient that it was found amongst other medicinal herbs at a Neanderthal burial site in Iraq, dating from around 60,000 BCE.
Organic Elderflower
Elderflowers are particularly rich in flavonoids, especially anthocyanins which work to keep the immune system strong and resilient. They’re also believed to contain potent antiviral agents.
Tea time
Infuse 2 heaped teaspoons in water heated to 90°c, for 8 minutes.
Whole leaves take longer to infuse but it is definitively worth it!
Tips
Drink at least 3 times a day.
When the tea is still too hot to be drunk, hold the mug under your nose and deeply but slowly breath in and out. Two in one, tea and inhalation!
Crush or grind the herbs prior to use.
Make sure that all ingredients are well mixed. Lighter particles and powders tend to sink at the bottom of the packet.
Do not leave herbs to steep in water as this may result in a slightly bitter infusion.
Combo options
Herbs are powerful on their own but their magic also works synergistically - meaning that combined they can be even more powerful.
