Caffeine-free

A delicious tisane that may help prevent and relieve headaches by calming nerves and relieving tension.

What's in it?

Organic Peppermint

Peppermint tea may have pain-relieving effects and its antispasmodic benefits can also help to relieve any nausea that may accompany an attack. The menthol present in Peppermint - a natural decongestant - offers rest from sinus pressure. It's also used to relieve nausea.

Organic Chamomile Flowers

Sometimes called “herbal aspirin”, chamomile has been used for centuries to lower pain and reduce inflammation. This seems to be backed up by science, with a 2009 study by Srivastava et al published in "Life Sciences," finding that chamomile caused cell reactions similar to that of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Organic Thyme

Native to the European shores of the Mediterranean, the medicinal and culinary use of Thyme dates back thousands of years, its medicinal qualities first being recognised before it went on to be a flavoursome herb used in cooking and seasoning.

Organic Vervain

Used by herbalists for millennia to combat depression and mood swings, Vervain is a deeply penetrating nervine that soothes and sedates the nervous system. It is a relaxing and uplifting herb that can stimulate the release of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, enhancing mood and wellbeing.

Organic Yarrow

Yarrow is known to dilate the capillaries, which in turn increases circulation. Healthy blood circulation is essential to maintaining the overall health and since some migraines are caused by restricted blow flow in the temples, it may help relieve headaches due to tight capillaries.

Elderflower

Elderberry’s immuno-stimulating and anti-inflammatory properties make it a great natural remedy for headaches caused by inflammation of the sinuses. Elderflower's anti-catarrhal action is also effective in clearing congestion and runny noses caused by seasonal allergies.

Ginger

There are many studies that promote Ginger as a remedy for nausea and vomiting. Used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 4,000 years, in modern times Ginger has been studied for its antibacterial, antifungal, pain-relieving, anti-ulcer and anti-tumour properties.

Organic Valerian

With a history stretching back to at least Ancient Greece and Rome, the Valerian Root has been used as a sleep aid, for anxiety relief and much more through the ages. However, it is as a treatment for nervous disorders that Valerian has become most noteworthy.

Lovage

Many of the health benefits of lovage relate to its anti-inflammatory and soothing nature, which can be helpful in reducing headache symptoms. It also has mild pain-relieving properties.

Organic Lemon balm

Lemon Balm contains the active compound rosmarinic acid, which make it a great anti-anxiety herb. Its calming properties may help you fall asleep - sometimes the best way to ged rid of a strong migraine.

Tea time

Infuse 1 or 2 heaped teaspoons in water heated at 90°c, for 5-8 minutes.

Whole leaves take longer to infuse but it is definitively worth it!

Tips

Crush or grind the herbs prior to use.

Make sure that all ingredients are well mixed. Lighter particles and powders tend to sink at the bottom of the packet.

Do not leave herbs to steep in water as this may result in a slightly bitter infusion.

For best results and help prevent headaches drink regularly. Have a strong cup as soon as you feel a migraine building up.

Have another cup of Migraine Relief an hour or two later or alternate with Pain relief or Stuffy Nose
