Caffeine-free

PuriThé is a great tonic and deep detox for kidneys and liver.

The antioxidants in Burdock root especially help to protect the liver whilst Dandelion, a well-known diuretic, assists the kidneys in clearing out waste.

Did I say it tastes amazing? If you like lemony teas, you're in luck!

This remedy is also incredibly beneficial for diabetics. In fact, I created this blend a few years ago when my best friend was diagnosed with diabetes. PuriThé is not the miracle cure but it can help lower blood sugar and regulate insulin production as well as benefit many aspects of physical health that are often negatively affected by diabetes such as poor blood circulation, "fatty" liver and poor cardiovascular health.

What's in it?

Lemongrass

Lemongrass tea can act as a diuretic and is highly effective in flushing toxins and waste out of the body. It can help you lose weight and be used as a calmative agent.

Gotu Kola

Gotu Kola is a well-known super-antioxidant for the brain, helping to protect brain cells. This powerful herb destroys toxic accumulations in the brain.

Used for centuries in traditional medicine as a liver detoxifier, Gotu Kola helps to detoxify the rest of the body by drawing out fluid from tissues.

Organic Burdock root

Burdock root has been traditionally used for flushing the kidneys and as a blood purifier. It stimulates lymphatic drainage (a vital part of the immune system) and detoxification.

Organic Dandelion root & leaf

Dandelion herb is diuretic, aiding the liver and kidneys to flush away excess water and waste. Dandelion leaf has been found to promote healthy lipid profiles, suppressing fat accumulation in the liver and reducing insulin resistance.

Organic Goldenrod

With powerful diuretic properties, Goldenrod helps to flush out impurities. Well-known herbalist Robert Dale Rogers also asserts that it has 7 times the antioxidant levels of green tea.

Organic Medical-grade Ginger root

When it comes to digestion Ginger reigns supreme as the go-to spice for almost all digestive complaints. Ginger contains many natural enzymes that improve digestion and the absorption of nutrients.

Nettle

Nettle has cleansing properties, which may help lose weight. The reduction of stored waste in muscle tissue and throughout the lymphatic system allows your body to function more productively.

Siberian Ginseng

Siberian ginseng helps to normalise the way in which the body responds to stress and acts to regulate the manufacture and secretions of the adrenal hormones. It strengthens the adrenal glands themselves which is especially important to those suffering from chronic stress and fatigue. Siberian ginseng also supports the whole of the central nervous system and is frequently used as an immune booster.

Organic Marigold

Used during First World War and the American Civil War as an antiseptic for wounds, the main compounds within Calendula are the triterpenoids, which are claimed to be the most important anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous (preventing swelling) components within the plant. It is also an excellent source of antioxidants.

Tea time

Infuse 1 or 2 heaped teaspoons in water heated at 90°c, for 5-8 minutes.

Whole leaves take longer to infuse but it is definitively worth it!

Tips

For best results, drink regularly. Ideally, at least once a day, after eating.

Crush or grind the herbs prior to use.

Make sure that all ingredients are well mixed. Lighter particles and powders tend to sink at the bottom of the packet.

Do not leave herbs to steep in water as this may result in a slightly bitter infusion.
